| Welcome to Provence ! |

From these
offices located in Ménerbes (Department 84), the real estate
agency Provence Secrète oversees a veritable Provençal
Eden. It is here, between the sea and the mountains, between
the Alpilles and Mount Ventoux, between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence...
in the Department of the Vaucluse, that truly beats the heart
of Provence.
Provence, nestled among the mountains (Mount Ventoux, Dentelles
de Montmirail, Mounts Vaucluse... ) offers at the same time
vast plains and green hills, where the grand wines of France
are found (Châteauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras,
Côtes du Ventoux, Côtes du Luberon)... here the
beauty of the colors of the countryside charmed such painters
as Cézanne, Van Gogh, Giono...
To the south of the Department, you will find the renowned countryside
of the Luberon. Here, the villages are charming, ancient, and
for the most part, perched high above the valleys of Provence.

In the "The Kingdom of the Cicadas",
the Provencal culture is ever-present : in the architecture (cottages, farmhouses,
chateaux... ), in the local products, in the artisanry or the traditional
festivals. The Luberon is truly a land bathed in light, with historical
sights and cultural marvels to discover.
Here, the local inhabitants have an accent that sings. They love to live,
to linger over a generous table of the local gourmet delights... this is
the picturesque Provence of Pagnol and Raimu. |

Even before
Peter Mayle's best-seller "A Year in Provence", numerous
personalities and VIPs have made Provence their second home...
Gordes, Ménerbes, Lourmarin, Lacoste, Bonnieux, and Roussillon
have over the years become more and more frequented as tourist
locales by an international clientele that is in love with the
beauty, charm, history, and gastronomy of Provence.
The Luberon, however, maintains above all a preservation of
nature, with immense forests, luminous cliffs of ochre, and
a natural park that unites 69 communities between Vaucluse and
the Alps of Haute Provence. There are many ways to discover
the beauty of the region : by horseback, on foot, bicycle, or
by air.
This area has become the symbol of Provence and the art of living,
literally taking the world by storm. Fortunately, you can still
find marvelous little corners for yourself, not often frequented
by the general public, even in tourist season... |
